A little about Me
Hi, my name is Rebecca, but everyone calls me Becca. If you call me Becky, I will correct you ;). Never was a Becky.
I grew up on a small farm, in the PNW. I love animals, and honestly, probably have an unhealthy relationship with my Silver Lab, Clara. I love her very much.
I married to my best friend; we’ve been together for 9 years. We both love a good beer. Oh, and I have to start my day with a cup of coffee (with cream).
Is this how a bio goes? Cool facts about me…
No, you’re probably interested in learning about my business. I’m also the Designer, Illustrator, Photographer, and Owner of Rebecca Sather Collective.
I’ve worn many hats
In my 20s, I graduated college with a Business Degree with a Specialization in Marketing, and in 2013, I went back to school, to earn a 2-year Graphic Design Certificate.
I worked in the beer industry for 8+ years. I started as a catch-all-bottom-of-the-barrel office assistant at a small craft brewery in the Seattle area. As I was given more and more marketing tasks: drafting company newsletters, event planning, designing company websites, creating merchandise, and assisting our lead graphic designer with projects, I rediscovered a passion for art that had been lost for many years. Are you seeing all the hats?
In 2013, I signed up for a Graphic Design Certificate program at Bellevue Community College. My design degree helped me excel at work and nurture a part of my soul.
In 2015, my best friend, number one cheerleader, and supporter, my Mother, died suddenly. Now, you might think it’s odd that I mention this in my bio – but, to not, would mean I was not giving credit where it was due. Having to deal with my mother’s death, and pick myself up, has really shaped who I am today.
My mother taught me to do what I love, never settle, and finish what I start. So… I stood tall, finished school (again), and with the support from my husband, in May of 2019, I started a new adventure - Rebecca Sather Collective.
I left the beer industry as a Digital Content Manager for the largest beer company in the world. I managed all digital presence (local and national), Social Media, and online content. I’ve worked for small and large breweries, over the years.
All of my experiences, personal and professional, have helped shape who I am today. That is why I can offer such a wide variety of services. I’ve done it all.
If you would like to learn more about any of my services, please reach out. I’m always down to grab a cup of coffee (or beer) and chat more. I can’t wait to hear from you!
Cheers,
Becca
